DAISY CHAIN
Marking the 60th anniversary of VÄ›ra Chytilová's groundbreaking feminist film Daisies (1966), DAISY CHAIN is a new socially-engaged programme of international artists’ moving image commissions, workshops and events in the UK and Czechia.
Corridor will commission six new artist moving image works alongside workshops, screenings and public events in partnership with the National Film Museum in Prague (NaFilM) and Brighton-based videoclub. The project brings together artists, audiences and communities across borders to explore themes of visibility, gender, age, power and representation through moving image and collage.
In Adur and Worthing, three artists will work collaboratively with older women, young women and LGBTQIA+ youth to develop new artworks shaped by participants' experiences, ideas and perspectives. At the same time, three artists in Czechia will also create new commissions.
The resulting works will be shared through a programme of exhibitions, screenings, workshops and talks in both countries throughout 2027, creating opportunities for international exchange, conversation and creative participation.
DAISY CHAIN is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, with additional support from The Chalk Cliff Trust and NaFilM.
